I am a visiting assistant professor (postdoc) in the math department at UCSB. My research is motivated by the mathematics of quantum field theory, particularly conformal field theory, which includes topics in operator algebras, geometric field theories, quantum algebra and tensor categories, vertex operator algebras, and complex function theory. I am particularly interested in analytic questions arising out of the interactions between these mathematical fields which are facilitated by QFT. For more information, including papers and talks, see my research page.

In Spring 2018 I am teaching Math 3B, Integral Calculus with Applications. More information is available on GauchoSpace.

I am a co-organizer of the UCSB Quantum Algebra and Quantum Topology seminar.

In July 2018 I will be starting as a Mathematical Sciences Institute Fellow at the Australian National University.

I completed my Ph.D. at UC Berkeley in 2014 under the supervision of Vaughan Jones. After that, I was a postdoc at the Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn, Germany.
