Textbook: Topology, a first course, by Munkres.

Course description: We will cover chapters 2-4 in the textbook, and as much as possible from chapters 5-8. To meet the area requirement , we need to cover: Metric spaces, topological spaces, continuity, Hausdorff condition, compactness, connectedness, product spaces, quotient spaces. Other topics as time allows.

Grading: Half homework, half final exam. The final exam will be in the classroom 4-7 on Monday December 11.
