The week to week assignments are below. The global plan is, approximately, text, Sections 2.1-2.10, 2.12, then a package made from Sections 1.1-1.4 and 2.13, 2.14, followed by Sections 2.15-2.19, 3.1-3.6, 4.1-4.7, 5.1-5.7. However, we probably won't follow this exactly. Note that we have only 28 lectures available, after accounting for the midterm, so this corresponds to a quite demanding 1.5 sections of the text per lecture, on average. You will want to work hard to keep up with this demanding schedule.
The assignments below will be updated regularly. You can always read ahead, according to the above plan; keeping the schedule below will help you to make sure that you aren't behind. It is better to read the material in the text before the corresponding lecture than after it.
