About Me

As of summer 2014, I am about to begin my 4th year in the Mathematics Department at UCSB. Before making it out to California, I spent my first 18 years in Kansas City, Missouri and went to Wellesley College in Massachusetts for my undergrad. While at Wellelsey, I studied mathematics, eastern relaigion and participated in a three week German language program in Vienna. When I am not around campus or doing math at home, I enjoy biking/swimming/running (and otherwise preparing for a triathlon), painting, and occasionally seeing live music. My advisor is Stephen Bigelow and I work with planar algebras. I am also interested in mathematical education and outreach.
