Here is a pdf of my curriculum vitae.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and attended Loyola Marymount University in
Westchester, California. I received
a B.S. in Mathematics, and did my senior thesis on the congruent number
problem and elliptic
curves under the guidance of Dr. Michael Berg.
In the summer of 2005 I participated in the Claremont
Colleges REU in Knot Theory under the guidance of Dr. Jim Hoste. I
presented this research at the undergraduate poster session at the
Joint Meetings in San Antonio Texas in January 2006.
In the summer of 2006 I attended the Trinity
University REU in San Antonio, Texas. Under the guidance of Dr. Vadim
Ponomarenko I studied the higher dimensional Frobenius problem.
I am currently a sixth year graduate student at the University of
California, Santa Barbara. I am working on the effects of topological
constraints in polymers for various polymer models, under the
guidance of Dr. Ken Millett.
I am also interested in math education. I worked with Dr. Maribel
Bueno Cachadina on the first UCSB Math
Circle, an inquiry based after school program for local middle
school students.
In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, lolcats, zombies
and listening to music.
I also write posts on the AMS Graduate Student Blog from time to time.
