David R. Morrison: Professional Service
I am involved in a number of different areas of professional service.- I am on the Scienfic Advisory Board of arXiv.org (which I chaired from 2016 to 2018). I also serve on the Mathematics Advisory Committee at arXiv.
- I am a member of the Advisory Board of Project Euclid.
- I am a member of the Executive Council of the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics.
- I am a General Member and a Trustee of the Aspen Center for Physics.
- I am a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics.
- I am a member of the Steering Committee for the String-Math series of conferences.
- I am on the American Mathematical Society Committee on Publications. I have previously served on a number of other AMS committees, including the Nominating Committee, the AMS Council and its Executive Committee.
- I am on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institue for Geometry and Physics, a joint venture between SISSA and ICTP.
- I served the IAS/Park City Mathematics Institute in various capacities during the late 1990's and early 2000's.
- I was a member of the Committee on Electronic Information and Communication of the International Mathematical Union from 1998-2006.
- I served on the MPS Advisory Committee at the National Science Foundation from 2002-2005.
- I was a member of the External Advisory Committee of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe from 2008-2017.
