Research and Talks

My current research interests are in hyperbolic geometry. I am currently learning about hyperbolic knot theory. Current goal: Read Lectures on Hyperbolic Geometry by Riccardo Benedetti and Carlo Petronio and pass the analysis qualifying exam. Next goal: Determine a research project.

I gave a talk on November 23 2020 in the Graduate Topology Seminar on Hyperbolic Geometry and Hyperbolic Knot Theory. I help to run our Hypatian Seminar, a seminar focussing on the mathematical acheivements of underrepresented groups. I am also on the organizing committee for the Directed Reading Program at UCSB.

This is the smallest hyperbolic knot.
