About Me

I am currently an RTG visiting assistant professor at UC Santa Barbara. I recently completed my Ph.D. at UT Austin under the supervision of Alan Reid. My research interests include low dimensional topology and projective geometry. In particular, I want to learn about deforming hyperbolic structures on 3-manifolds into non-hyperbolic, real projective structures.

Teaching

Spring 2016

This quarter I am teaching Math 260P: Projective Structures on Manifolds. We will be blogging the lecture notes so feel free to check them out.

Topology Seminar

2015-2016

I will be organizing the topology seminar this year. The schedule for the seminar can be found here. If you are interested in speaking just send me an email with the date you are interested in.

Winter 2014

In the winter quarter I will be teaching an undergraduate course in hyperbolic geometry. Hyperbolic geometry is an important non-Euclidean geometry which serves as a natural model for most 2 and 3 dimensional objects.
