(28 May 2015) Kamil Duszenko was a very bright student in Wroclaw who died of leukemia summer 2014, shortly before defending his PhD thesis. The Prize in his memory was established by his mother, Izabela Mironowicz. In 2015 the prize is 3000 Euro and goes to a young researcher in geometric group theory. Mathematical Institute of Polish Academy of Sciences, Mathematical Institute of Wroclaw University and Polish Mathematical Olympiad are institutions supporting the prize.

The winner of 2016 Kamil Duszenko Prize is Kate Juschenko from Northwestern University.

The winner of 2015 Kamil DUszenko Prize was Tom Church from Stanford University.
