Textbook: Advanced Calculus, Wilfred Kaplan

Course Description: We will cover 1.2-1.4 and most of chapter 2 through the first half of chapter 5 of your textbook. This includes material on vectors and planes, derivatives involving functions of several variables and vector-valued functions, integrals involving functions of several variables, and line integrals and Green's Theorem.

Homework and Quizzes: Problem sets corresponding to each lecture will be posted on the course website. Over the quarter, there will also be 4 quizzes given during lecture. There are no make-ups for any of the quizzes, but your lowest score will be dropped.

Midterm: There will be a midterm given in class on Wednesday, Nov 8th.

Final Exam: The final exam will be given on Thursday, December 14th, from 4-7pm. An incomplete for the course will be given only for documented medical reasons or emergencies.

NO calculators, books, notes, or collaboration are allowed on any of the quizzes or exams.

Grading:
Quizzes: 20%,
Midterm: 30%,
Final: 50%
