Outline: We will cover contour integration, series, residues and poles, and some topics regarding mappings and conformal mappings of the complex plane. Time permitting, we will also study some applications of conformal mapping.

Homework: There will typically be weekly homeworks. You are encouraged to discuss homework problems with other students in the class; however, you are required to write up all of your solutions on your own.

Grading: Grading will be based on attendance and participation (5%), homework assignments (30%), a midterm (30%) (tentatively scheduled for Thursday February 8th), and a final exam (35%) (to be held on Friday, March 21st from 8-11am).
