A NEW GRADUATE DEGREE EMPHASIS IN COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING This proposal recommends the establishment of an interdisciplinary Graduate Emphasis in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE). The initial proposal is being put forth by faculty in the Departments of Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics and Chemical Engineering, but is expected to grow to encompass faculty in other departments with common interests in providing the collaborative, multidepartmental educational and research environment that we envision.
